My Firsrst Suggestion This-i-believe

We know that some times few words with a story of a personal experience is more affective than spending times readying hundred pages of "success" books.

My suggestion is to have a column named for example "This I Believe". This column will be for one good writer. The writer's job is to narrate a true story of successful people and then write a brief comment highlighting the strong believe this writer gets from this story.

In addition, depending on my long experience in this way of affecting people positively, I truly believe that espousing this suggestion will be very impressive.

What do you think?!!

i agree with.... completely with u ....... and i'll help as much as i can...
emm about writers..i do not see that he/she should be a professional one...
let's treat it as a letter not column to make the task easier...
if u agree with me...i can bring some one who realllllly will affect the readers..i mean by her experiences in learning with all obstacles that she faced....

Sahar it's really a great idea. Maybe the word "writer" makes the girls scared but writing a letter is different. It seems easier.

well writing a letter is very different.

but yes i like the concept of the word scaring most girls.

so i would like to change the name but not to letter writers.

First I would like to thank you all ,and I want to define what I meant by "good writer" because I really don't know what will be your actions if I wrote "professional writer" My Firsrst Suggestion Icon_eek

* All good writers need are following:

* Stay on topic : what is the article about? are you staying on topic? is each paragraph and sentence directly related to your topic?
* Choose words wisely: create sentences and paragraphs that are concise and easy to understand.
*Write Simply: most people prefer to read articles written in simple language. Avoid using "circuitous" words
* Edit your work:do not be too quick to click send. It is usually a good idea to let it your article sit for a while (a few hours to a day or so) then re-read and edit it. This time you are editing for grammar and spelling errors, and a clear layout.
* Review your work:review your writing from time to time and make updates or changes as you deem necessary.
* Find your Voice: explore your writing style and voice. Is it authoritative, satirical, conversational, or something entirely different, and in order to work towards developing your writing voice: keep a journal, explore different writing techniques and other styles (mix it up and get out of your comfort zone sometimes) and write regularly.

*Think before publish: what are you trying to say .Does this article hit all your key points
-Does the title convey what the article is about.
-Are there any superfluous words, sentences, or paragraphs.
-Is the length and depth of your article appropriate for the topic.
-Does the layout of your article help to make it easy to read.
-Have your performed a spelling and grammar check.
-Have you read and re-read your article.

So all good writer needs is time to go through all these processes, which you all agree that all articles in this magazine should go through them, not only my suggestion.
